Internal Document Reader

Description

The internal document reader is the interface between the documents behind the ActiveGalaXy clusters and the user. The document reader has two parts, a document list and an html based viewer.

List Box

The list box displays document metadata for all the selected GalaXy View documents. These documents can be viewed by clicking on the left-most column or using the up and down arrow keys. The following is a description of each metadata colmn:

Name	Application Dependent	Description
Title	yes	string
Date	yes	This is a string and will sort accordingly.
Id	yes	number
Size	yes/no	This is the size of the text submitted during analysis and, depending upon the application, may differ from the size of the displayed document.
Read	no	The number of times a document has been viewed this session.
Check	no	Double click on this column to mark, or unmark, a document. A white dot or red dot (if selected) will appear on the GalaXy view.
Notes	no	Not currently used.

To sort on a given column click on the header.

Viewer

The viewer is a web browser so all the documents are converted to local web pages before viewing. The sample DocReader view shows a set of 4 documents from TwitterGalaXy.

Each web page has two active areas. At the top center is the title and sub-title which are application dependent. Either may contain active links to other web pages. Below that, is the document display area. The highlighted words are signature terms. Clicking on any term will further highlight all occurances of the same term.
